The quality of our examinations can be improved when there is a composite and cooperative dialogue between patients, their parents and treating paediatrician likeweise nursing staff. The complaints of the patient must be well described, the previous examinations (especially chest x-rays) should be presented and compared and discussed. The required radiological examination should be clip and clear. The diagnostic examination should be patient oriented with minimum burden on the little patient followed by a comprehensive reporting so that a credible working diagnosis can be reached quickly. The diagnosis should be transferred to the treating physician quickly and the queries should be promptly and competitively answered to. Trust and sense of responsibility should form an integral part of the cooperation. Ultimately the patients should feel comfortable in our department.
