The department of paediatric radiology at the University Hospital Frankfurt is the main diagnostic centre in the Rhein-Main-belt for children and adolescents.

1. Patient Care

The department of paediatric radiology works in close cooperation with the clinic and polyclinic centre for department of paediatric medicine and paediatric surgery. Furthermore children and adolescents from all other departments of the hospital are examined during the normal working day. In addition to this children referred by paediatricians and general practitioners from private practices from all over the Rhein-Main-belt are also examined.
One of our main specialties is screening of the new born. We run a programme called "Friends of the University Hospital for early diagnosis of renal diseases" in close cooperation with colleagues from other clinics from the Rhein-Main-belt and also support the AOK model project for renal screening.
